We chose Dutch Home Hunters because we understood from research that securing housing in the NL is a challenge for DAFT applicants and we did not want to struggle with this. We had a free consultation with Darien Wilson and found her to be engaged, honest, forthright and she seemed like a great fit for us communication and personality wise. We went ahead and worked with Dutch Home Hunters, specifically with Darien and also with Vanessa as a back up. What a wonderful decision. We especially appreciated the clear, regular communication and responses to every question; also the honesty and openness throughout the transaction. Challenges were not understated but it was never made to sound impossible to find a good property that met one’s needs. That is so important when you are working in a new place and from afar, to boot. We always felt like we knew what was going on. That was so appreciated. We ended up finding a wonderful place to call home while we are here thanks to Darien Wilson and the team at Dutch Home Hunters’ help. We received great help finding our new home. Everything was very well organised. Wilma explained the Dutch rental market to us and helped us secure viewings, which she attended in our stead. After the rental contract was concluded we received additional assistance/explanations regarding organising utility providers and any other questions we had. Wilma was extremely nice and very responsive. Overall 10/10.

Vanessa’s service was incredible, she found us a lovely home while we were still in the U.S. and took care of all the viewing and paperwork that followed! Since we were not familiar with renting in the Netherlands we were very impressed with her honesty when it came to managing our expectations about the housing market and its challenges and also loved that she got started right away with a viewing for us. Highly recommend her if you are an expat looking for housing!
